The roof recovery of the Ed White High School consisted of a new Carlisle Fleeceback 115 mil TPO membrane installed in Carlisle Fast 100 low-rise foam adhesive. In preparation, all existing blisters were cut, dried and repaired and then all loose granules were power-broomed off of the existing cap sheet. The new Carlisle Fleeceback TPO roof system was then installed directly over the existing roof. This new roof system carries a 20-year warranty, covering materials and labor.
The project was performed during school hours, so precautions had to be made to keep students safe, such as background checks and badges for all McCurdy-Walden employees, locking ladders to prevent student from accessing the roof, roping-off areas of caution below, and a full time grounds keeper.
