All LEED certified projects start at the top . . . . by specifying an energy efficient roof system. Whether it's a bright white roof system with a high Solar Reflective Index (SRI), an energy producing photovoltaic system (solar panels) or an enviromentally friendly vegatative roof system (garden roof), McCurdy-Walden is tops in North Florida.
The Jacksonville Business Journal recently included an insert called, the "Book of Green", listing the top ranked LEED certified projects in North Florida. McCurdy-Walden installed the roofs on 3 of the top 6 LEED certified buildings in North Florida and two thirds of all GOLD LEED certified projects. These projects totaled 287,672 SF. The UNF College of Education & Human Services and the Jacksonville City Hall Annex roofs consisted of a LEED certified highly reflective modified bitumen cap sheet by Siplast and the FBI Field Office consisted of a white reflective Thermoplastic (TPO) roof system by GAF, giving these projects an energy efficient roof system.
