History of McCurdy-Walden, Inc.
When the commercial roofing company, that employed Stan
McCurdy and Gene Walden, suddenly closed it's doors in the summer of 1986, it left many
people without a job and many building owners without a roofing contractor. There was an immediate need to
start a new commercial roofing company to save the jobs of their loyal employees and complete the many open contracts left
by the old roofing company. McCurdy-Walden, Inc. was born!
Luckily, building owners and general contractors allowed McCurdy-Walden, Inc. to take over where the old roofing
company left off catapulting the new company to the top of the commercial market at an early age.

Six years later, Gene Walden's sons, Mark and Jonathan
joined the company. McCurdy-Walden doubled it's annual income the following year and have been
growing ever since. In 2000, Gene Walden purchased Stan McCurdy's, share's to become sole owner of McCurdy-Walden,
Inc. Mark and Jonathan have now worked for the company for over 14 years participating in all aspects of the
business. In 2008, the torch was passed to the sons to run the day to day operations and ultimately complete
ownership.
