The state of Florida has been hit by more Hurricanes than any other state in America. Because of this fact the Florida Building Code has strict requirements with regard to roof installations. Florida roofing contractors are held to a higher standard than other state contractors when it comes to wind uplift requirements. It is imperative that building owners insist on a Florida licensed roofing contractor and that the contractor adheres to all Florida Building Code requirements.

McCurdy-Walden stays current on all of the latest code changes and wind uplift requirements making sure that building owners get the best roof system possible.

Due to the high probability of a hurricane hitting the Florida coast, McCurdy-Walden has developed a comprehensive Hurricane Disaster Plan.

	McCurdy-Walden is the only roofing contractor in the area with a “Pre-storm Authorization Agreement” allowing our company to respond directly to our disaster partners without having to make contact.

    McCurdy-Walden is equipped with over 25 trucks and 60+ employees. The entire company will be devoted to emergency repairs for those clients who are part of our Hurricane Disaster Plan.

    After a hurricane strikes, roofing and temporary dry-in materials are nearly impossible to find. McCurdy-Walden has stockpiled over 150,000 SF of temporary repair and dry-in materials to insure we have enough to service those in our program.
